Featured are the ancestors of Edith Fay SISLER and William Jethro MERRITT.  This family moved from Oklahoma to Colorado to Washington where their descendants still live today.

 George William SISLER

Elnora NASH was born 15 Jun 1879 in Victor, Mitchel Co. KS.  She was the daughter of Jalie Eudora RICHARDS and Edward NASH.  She died 29 Jul 1970 in Yakima, Yakima Co. WA.  Her grandparents were Mary Ann CRAWFORD (b. 1837 KY d. 1871 KS) and Elijah RICHARDS (b. 1817 KY d. 1872 KS) and Elizabeth MOORE (b. 1815 PA d. 1898 OK) & Nathan NASH (b. 1810 PA d. 1886 KS).

John Thomas MERRITT was born 7 Dec 1875 in Cuba, Dent Co. MO, the son of Mary Caroline BLALOCK and John Wesley MERRITT.  He died 25 Oct 1923 in Claremore, Rogers Co. OK.  His grandparents were Elizabeth FERGUSON (b. VA) and John MERRITT (married 22 May 1815 Barren Co. KY).  John MERRITT appears to have died and Elizabeth remarried James RITCHEY 11 Mar 1841 Allen Co. KY.

Elizabeth PALMER was born 3 Nov 11868/1869 in Steeleville, Crawford Co. MO, the daughter of Rebecca SNODDY (b. 18 Aug 1843 TN d. 5 Jul 1928 Lincoln Co. OK) and Alexis Jasper PALMER (b. 25 Feb 1844 MO d. 15 Sep 1913 Chandler, Lincoln Co. OK).  She had 4 siblings:  Samuel, Rebecca, Mary, and Frederick “Jim”.  Her grandparents were Elizabeth INKS and Joseph L. PALMER (b. 1798 MO).

George SISLER was born 29 Jun 1876 in Delta, Keokuk Co. IA.  He was the son of Sidney JAMES and Rufus SISLER.  George was the oldest of 10 children.  His father, Rufus, was born 7 Jan 1846 OH and died 30 Jul 1933 in Claremore, Rogers Co. OK.  His grandparents were Mary BOWERS (b. 1814 PA d. 1908 IA) and John SISLER (b. 1808 Maryland d. 15 Aug 1887 IA) and Lydia Ann HARRISON and Israel JAMES.
